Dr. Fred Luskin, internationally acclaimed author, Stanford professor, and Director of the Stanford Forgiveness Projects, will be our featured BCHD & SBFC Speaker Series presenter. He will discuss his ground breaking book, "Forgive for Good", which offers startling new insight into the healing powers and medical benefits of forgiveness.
The SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk begins next to the Manhattan Beach Pier. Participants will walk south towards the Hermosa Beach Pier for the turnaround point, then return to the Manhattan Beach Pier. The total duration of the Walk is about 3.5 miles.

This book explores the down-and-dirty psychology of addiction through live "voices from the street." It probes the essence of enabling and the value of "rehabs" neither of which were common concepts in the sixties. It chronicles top-of-the-world success juxtaposed against a downside of life no one should have to abide, a side which proves that some things, money cannot buy.
The event, presented by the Hermosa Beach Police Department, will kick off with a special recognition of 10 years of the Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch program and will continue with lots of free fun for the entire family. Food, games, prizes, and much more!
